Job summary
Salesforce.com, inc. is seeking a Distributed Systems Software Engineer for Public Cloud at mid/senior/lead/principal levels. You will work on a large-scale distributed platform delivering high reliability and performance for millions of users.
The role emphasizes backend work with Java/Go/Python/Ruby, cloud tooling, and AI-first engineering. You will design, build, and operate core services, participate in on-call rotations, and drive secure, production-grade software.
Qualifications
- Related technical degree required.
- 3+ years backend software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Go, Python or Ruby.
- Experience operating multiple instances of critical services.
- AI-first approach with structured prompts and reliable system context.
- Agile development and Test Driven Development.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting.
- Knowledge of distributed databases and PostgreSQL a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, design, and operate resilient distributed systems at scale.
- Develop cloud infrastructure tooling, Terraform IAM and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build microservices with Kubernetes, Docker, and related stacks.
- Contribute to AI-driven development workflows and tooling.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Evaluate code quality, security, and performance.
