Job summary

Astreya Partners, LLC seeks a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design of cloud and virtualization infrastructure for enterprise security applications. You will own architecture, HA topologies, IAM models, and storage strategies across on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include defining BRDs/TDDs, mentoring L2 engineers, and coordinating with sustainment, network, and governance to meet SLAs and KPIs. Strong GCP, IaC, and OS administration skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in cloud and enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• Expert GCP architecture across Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC and IAM.
• Deep IaC mastery — Terraform and Ansible (mandatory) with Puppet, Git, Bash, Python and PowerShell.
• Strong Linux and Windows enterprise OS administration and virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V).
• IAM design across OS and cloud with least-privilege enforcement.
• Strong technical authoring (BRDs, TDDs, runbooks) and project governance familiarity.
• Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect; beneficial: other GCP/HashiCorp ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect GCP environments for centralized security applications and set engineering standards.
• Architect on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructure for Linux and Windows servers.
• Define high-availability, failover, clustering, and geo-redundancy across physical and virtual infra.
• Design IAM models across OS and cloud with least-privilege enforcement.
• Develop tiered storage and database architectures with backup, restore and audit logging.
• Establish orchestration standards using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Git, PowerShell, Python and Bash.
• Serve as escalation point for operations and sustainment; mentor L2 engineers.
• Lead hardware/software lifecycle monitoring and product upgrade testing.
• Create BRDs, TDDs and runbooks; align with SLAs/KPIs in PM workflow.
