Job summary

Perplexity is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure leader to own the roadmap and technical strategy for agent-driven cloud infrastructure management. You will design and operate the cloud networking fabric, scale compute platforms across regions, and build secure, isolated deployment topologies for multi-tenant and BYOC environments.

Collaborating with security, you will implement BYOK/KMS integrations and enterprise controls while driving automation and day-2 operations across Perplexity

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise with Kubernetes/EKS and multi-cluster setups.
• Experience with cloud networking and private connectivity.
• Proficiency with Terraform and at least one programming language (Python/Go/Rust).
• Strong incident management and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and technical strategy for agent-driven cloud infrastructure management.
• Design and operate Perplexity’s cloud networking fabric, including VPC architectures and private connectivity.
• Architect and scale compute platforms (Kubernetes/EKS, autoscaling groups, CPU/GPU fleets) across regions.
• Build and maintain secure, isolated deployment topologies for multi-tenant and BYOC environments.
• Implement and evolve multi-region strategies for availability and disaster recovery.
• Partner with security to deliver enterprise controls such as BYOK/KMS integrations and auditability.
• Develop automation, tooling, and runbooks for day-2 operations across environments.
