Job summary

F2 in San Francisco is seeking an Infrastructure Tech Lead to architect and scale our AWS-based platform. You will build from ground up, owning core infrastructure and ensuring enterprise-grade uptime and security.

You will work with the founding team to push a production-ready cloud stack, manage temporal workflows, and guide a team through scalable, cost-efficient deployments while collaborating with product, backend, and customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and scaling mission-critical cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with ECS/Fargate, Kubernetes, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation plus GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Postgres (RDS/Supabase) and Redis, plus messaging systems.
• Security mindset with SOC 2 compliance, IAM, and data isolation.
• End-to-end ownership and metrics-driven delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement foundational cloud infrastructure from scratch: compute, networking, CI/CD, and observability.
• Own the infrastructure architecture: define and execute the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for an AWS-based platform.
• Run durable AI-heavy workloads: operate and scale workflow orchestration, streaming pipelines, and AI serving paths.
• Design for security and compliance: SOC 2, multi-tenant isolation, secrets management, audits, encrypted data flows.
• Establish operational excellence: IaC standards, pipelines, incident response, SLOs, on-call practices; mentor engineers.
• Cross-functional collaboration: translate requirements into pragmatic infrastructure solutions with product and customers.
