Job summary

Applied Intuition UK is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and deploy UK-hosted infra for internal teams, and to secure AI models for national security programmes.

You will own CI/CD, work across cloud, on‑premise and air‑gapped environments, and partner with product managers to turn requirements into robust technical solutions. Occasional travel and security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying infra for production software.
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for microservice-based apps.
• Terraform and IaC experience; prefer IaC over manual consoles.
• Scripting in Python or Bash; Linux expertise (Ubuntu, RHEL).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and architecture of the UK-hosted infrastructure used across internal teams.
• Build and deploy products into cloud, on-premise and air-gapped environments using IaC; manage lifecycle.
• Host UK securely approved AI models for use in secure programmes.
• Improve developer effectiveness by removing friction with tooling and automation.
• Own CI/CD systems and deployment strategies; integrate HiL where applicable.
• Debug and profile distributed systems; lead response when issues arise.
• Collaborate with product managers and customers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Share solutions with the broader organisation to improve products.
