Alaska Airlines is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in SeaTac to join a Scrum team delivering high‑quality, scalable software for our guests and operations. You will own key areas of the stack, drive modern engineering practices, and partner with product, design, and other engineering teams to ship features on a regular cadence.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, architecture, and mentorship, with exposure to cloud services and automated testing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• Experience in test automation and cloud computing.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in full-stack engineering on a scrum delivery team, collaborating with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver business value on an iterative basis.
• Coach and influence team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Solve complex technology and business problems with new and creative methods.
• Architect, engineer, test, deploy, and support highly scalable and maintainable complex, end-to-end custom software applications.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality software by writing clean code and utilizing pair programming, TDD, and continuous integration.
• Actively engage in the technology industry, networks and understands how evolving technologies can benefit our organization.
• Influence cross-functionality and partner with other disciplines to develop strategy.
• Develop a solid understanding of the team’s guest experience, business, and systems.
