Job summary

Rivermatrix Technologies, Inc. seeks a senior Cloud Software Engineer (TS/SCI with Poly) to join a high-impact product team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-enabled software for large-scale clusters, while providing mentorship and technical leadership across the SDLC.

Requirements include 8+ years of experience, a BS in a relevant field, and a TS/SCI with poly. Expect on-site work with limited telework, and exposure to IaC, CI/CD, and containerized

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years of software development experience including requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• At least 6 years of experience in Java/C++ development.
• At least 5 years of UNIX/Linux (RedHat-based) experience.
• At least 3 years in software integration and testing, including test plans.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Strong Java development experience in distributed systems, networking, and multithreading.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Ansible or Puppet; experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based software solutions across large compute clusters.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Review system designs for accuracy, completeness, and scalability; support operations and maintenance.
