Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer in Annapolis, MD to lead multiple software teams in requirements analysis, development, and deployment. The role involves selecting processes in coordination with customers and system engineering, ensuring quality, and guiding testing efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent to 2 years' experience.
At least 8 years of software engineering experience including requirements analysis, development, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
TS/SCI w/ Poly is required.
Willingness to obtain listed certifications (AWS Dev Associate, AWS ML Associate, AWS ML Specialty, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, CKAD).
Analytic development using Python/Scala; big data frameworks (Pig, MapReduce, Spark).
Experience with data enrichment, ontologies/schemas, and structured data (XML, CSV, JSON).

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead for multiple software teams; select development processes with customer and SE teams.
Delegate programming/testing, monitor team performance.
Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
Collaborate with customer teams to understand mission needs; extract value from data.
Lead efforts in data characterization and ingestion of new data types.
Work with cloud providers and data stewards; knowledge of data flows and analytics tools.
