Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple environments. You will implement IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and enforce security and monitoring practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related fields.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience acceptable.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong IaC experience, preferably Terraform.
• Experience building/managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Linux admin, networking, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production.
• Manage and optimize cloud services including compute, networking, storage, DBs, IAM, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for safe, repeatable software delivery.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Establish cloud security best practices including access controls and encryption.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment and ops readiness.
• Participate in on-call rotations and production incident response.
• Document infrastructure, procedures, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting guides.
