BizFirst LLC is assisting with a Cloud Software Engineer role in Fort Meade, MD. The candidate will develop and maintain complex Big-Data cloud systems with emphasis on back-end processing, IR, and distributed computing. Requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and a Computer Engineering or CS degree.

Experience spans Java, Hadoop ecosystem, MapReduce, and cloud technologies. Strong scripting and UNIX/Linux skills are essential for multi-node cloud deployments and integration with COTS/GOTS

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8 years of experience with degree, or 12 years without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data cloud systems.
• Contribute to backend processing, analysis, and indexing.
• Design software components with cloud, COTS/GOTS considerations and trade-offs.
• Review tests and resolve software issues; document results.
• Collaborate on hardware/software trade-offs and system-level requirements.
