Job Description
RCH Solutions seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer experienced in deploying and managing AWS cloud infrastructure within the Life Sciences sector. You will work on complex customer challenges, collaborating with clients, architects, and partners to deliver solutions. Your role involves executing projects, establishing cloud IT services, and staying current with evolving cloud tools and services. You will implement solutions, serve as an escalation point, and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and present different solution options, explaining their impact and outcomes
• Design, implement, and deploy cloud solutions
• Guide clients on industry best practices
• Review and audit existing cloud architectures, creating documentation and presentations
• Act as an escalation point for support team questions and issues
• Troubleshoot operational issues on supported platforms
• Collaborate with project managers to meet timelines and scope
• Ensure systems comply with security standards and regulatory requirements
• Stay updated on cloud services, offerings, and best practices
• Deploy and configure scientific applications, both commercial off-the-shelf and open source
• Provide Linux engineering support as needed

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 6+ years in Cloud Infrastructure Deployment
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud solutions
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification
• 5+ years Linux engineering experience (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, Rocky)
• 2+ years Application administration
• Experience creating proof of concepts from scratch
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level
• Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis skills
• Experience deploying and managing clusters via AWS Parallel Cluster
• Experience supporting Slurm or other DRM solutions
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, CFN
• Excellent documentation skills
• Experience leading project teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of deploying/supporting GxP systems
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or R
• Automation and version control tools such as shell scripting, Git, BitBucket
