Job summary

The role requires 5+ years of experience with strong Azure, IaC (Terraform), Azure networking, and security controls, plus VMware/Hyper-V and enterprise OS expertise. This position offers hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, operate, and administer Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) solutions.
• Configure and manage Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute.
• Implement and enforce Azure Policy in enterprise environments.
• Deploy and manage IaC with Terraform and Azure CLI; proficient in scripting with common automation frameworks.
• Build and troubleshoot servers in VMware and Hyper-V environments; manage enterprise OSs.
• Support on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.

Senior Cloud Engineer IS - Hybrid

Cloud Service Engineers work in partnership with developers, testers, and program managers, typically early in the development process, to design, operate, grow, and improve large‑scale, cloud‑based services offered to IS and non‑IS caregivers. Their technical skills are on par with their Development, Test, and Program Management counterparts.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Senior level experience designing, engineering, operating, and administering Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) solutions, including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Extensive experience configuring and managing Azure networking components, including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute.
• Hands‑on experience implementing, managing, and enforcing Azure Policy in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure (IaC) using Terraform and Azure CLI tools. Proficient in scripting with common automation frameworks to develop and maintain a comprehensive runbook library.
• Proficient in building and troubleshooting servers in both VMware and Hyper‑V environments.
• Hands‑on experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise server operating systems.
• Expertise in securing and supporting hybrid environments subject to compliance and regulatory requirements (PHI/PII).
• Ability to support an on‑call rotation and respond to production incidents outside normal business hours.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create technical presentations and documents. Basic project management.
• Effective communication across teams and leadership of technical conversations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
• Five years of related experience.
• Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions; using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and conclusions; systematic problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Creating and managing server images with Packer.
• Experience with Desired State Configuration (DSC) using AWX.
• Knowledge of implementing security controls such as CIS and NIST.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
