Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a hybrid team in Knoxville, TN. You will design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, and improve observability across AWS and Azure environments.

The role emphasizes automation, reliability, and collaboration with development and QA teams to accelerate delivery while maintaining security and governance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• CI/CD automation experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Familiarity with logging, metrics, and distributed tracing platforms (e.g., New Relic, CloudWatch).
• Hands-on experience managing cloud-native environments (AWS and/or Azure).
• Knowledge of secure DevOps practices and identity/access management.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and supporting developers directly.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using modern tools.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code practices and cloud resources across AWS/Azure.
• Enable observability and reliability with dashboards, logging, and metrics.
• Provide guidance on Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate CI/CD, monitoring, and security into workflows.
