Job summary

Lubrizol is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure Azure and hybrid cloud platforms. You will own cloud subscriptions, identity integration, networking patterns, services, and cost management.

You will mentor engineers, promote automation-first and IaC approaches, and drive modernization initiatives including migrations and standardization across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of IT experience with cloud engineering.
• Progression from execution-focused roles to technical leadership.
• Experience operating cloud platforms in enterprise production environments.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid identity, networking, security, and cloud governance.
• Experience with IaC, automation tooling, and cloud platform engineering best practices.
• Understanding of datacenter technologies including virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate secure Azure and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Own cloud subscription design, identity integration, networking, platform services, governance, and cost management.
• Translate architectural standards into repeatable platform implementations and lead adoption of automation-first and IaC approaches.
• Build and maintain IaC solutions using ARM/Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, recoverability, and operational efficiency via monitoring and AIOps.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives including workload migrations and platform standardization.
• Mentor Cloud Engineers and Associate Engineers, serve as escalation point for complex issues.
