Job summary

Lubrizol seeks a Systems Engineer focused on next-generation infrastructure to drive cloud modernization, AI-assisted operations, automation, and resilient platform engineering. You will collaborate with diverse teams to evolve our environment as we adopt emerging technologies and accelerate delivery through automation.

In this role you will design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on‑prem, private cloud, and public cloud, manage Windows and Linux servers, and implement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technology roles.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, networking fundamentals, storage technologies, HPE platforms, and Pure Storage solutions.
• Familiarity with observability platforms and AIOps concepts.
• Understanding of security best practices, identity and access management, and zero-trust principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on-premises datacenters, private cloud, and public cloud environments.
• Manage Windows and Linux server platforms, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise backup and recovery technologies.
• Engineer and support workloads across Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and hybrid multi-cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain cloud landing zones, governance standards, resource blueprints, tagging strategies, and cost optimization practices.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC.
• Implement CI/CD workflows for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Leverage AIOps capabilities to improve monitoring, incident detection, capacity planning, and root-cause analysis.
• Design automation solutions using Power Automate, Logic Apps, PowerShell, and Python to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.
• Participate in complex incident resolution, modernization programs, documentation development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
