Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, automate, secure, and operate scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure from Wichita, KS. This hands-on role emphasizes cloud architecture, IaC, reliability, security, and modernization to empower platform engineering patterns and self-service capabilities.

The candidate will collaborate across teams to implement IAM, encryption, cost optimization, and governance while supporting DevOps and application delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and operating cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS-focused).
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and related tooling.
• Create reusable cloud patterns for networking, compute, storage, identity, monitoring, and recovery.
• Improve cloud reliability with observability, incident response, and governance guardrails.
• Collaborate with security and DevOps teams to enable cost transparency and optimization.
