Job summary

ENS Solutions LLC in Reston, VA seeks a Sr. Cloud Engineer to architect, design, and implement scalable AWS cloud solutions. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant delivery of cloud infrastructure.

The role requires 10+ years in cloud engineering, TS/CI Poly clearance, and hands-on experience with EC2/S3/Lambda, Terraform/CloudFormation, IAM, and automation. Strong security posture and DoD standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Experience designing, implementing, and deploying AWS cloud infrastructure solutions at scale across multiple classification domains (IL5/IL6+).
• Experience with AWS microservices and cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EBS, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (CloudFormation or Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience hardening desktop OS images in the cloud across multiple classification domains.
• Experience with cloud security controls and AWS security best practices ( IAM least privilege, encryption, network isolation ).
• Experience with cloud identity services using enterprise IAM platforms and SSO solutions (e.g., AWS IAM Identity Center, Okta).
• Experience with automation and configuration management (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Fundamental knowledge of orchestration and containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance and DoD 8140/8570 certification (Security+ or above).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud-based architectures.
• Mentor and guide a team of cloud engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Translate technical requirements into actionable solutions and stay current on cloud technologies and compliance standards.
• Develop operating instructions and end user training.
• Lead automation for deployment, monitoring, and management processes.
