Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Senior Cloud Engineer for an on-site role in Crane, IN. You will design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure to support advanced data collection and analysis, including IL6 enclaves and IaC pipelines.

You’ll work with Platform One's Iron Bank and containerized microservices in a DoD environment. Role requires DoD IL6 experience, strong scripting and container skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or similar; or an Associate degree with 3+ years of related experience; or a high school diploma with 6+ years of experience as substitute.
• 4+ years of cloud engineering experience or similar
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation scripting
• Experience with various scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Hands-on containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) or serverless functions (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda)

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining secure hybrid-cloud architectures and IL6 cloud environments (e.g., Azure Government).
• Developing and maintaining modern IaC pipelines to spin up secure, isolated network environments.
• Utilizing pre-accredited containers to build, deploy, and manage microservices and containerized applications.
• Architecting and maintaining automated ETL pipelines and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid software delivery.
• Documenting cloud architectures, deployment playbooks, and system configurations clearly.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Crane, IN. This is an on-site position.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, highly scalable cloud infrastructure to support advanced data collection and analysis environment. You will be a key player in architecting Impact Level 6 (IL6) cloud enclaves, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and enabling seamless integration between centralized data repositories and tactical edge computing nodes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining secure hybrid-cloud architectures and IL6 cloud environments (e.g., Azure Government).
• Developing and maintaining modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines to programmatically spin up secure, isolated network environments.
• Utilizing pre-accredited containers (e.g., Platform One’s Iron Bank) to build, deploy, and manage hardware-agnostic microservices and containerized applications.
• Architecting and maintaining automated multi-modal Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines. Implementing and managing automated DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support rapid, iterative software delivery.
• Documenting cloud architectures, automated deployment playbooks, and system configurations clearly and concisely.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar technical field, or an Associates degree and 3+ years of additional experience, or a High School Diploma and 6+ years of additional years of experience may be considered In lieu of a bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of Experience with cloud engineering or similar cloud experience
• Experience with enterprise cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
• Experience and strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation scripting
• Experience with various scripting languages. (python, bash, powershell, etc.)
• Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) or serverless functions (e.g., Azure Functions, Aws Lambda)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DoD cloud security requirements, specifically Impact Level 6 (IL6) environments and Azure.
• Experience working with Platform One's Iron Bank or similar DoW-approved software building blocks.
• Familiarity working with high-volume data streaming and pipeline tools.
• Experience in the defense industry, specifically supporting EW EMSO missions.

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
