Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer (Mid-Level) to join the DFS Platform Services team in New York.

You will help build, operate, and maintain an internal platform that speeds up software delivery for development and operations teams, under mentorship from senior engineers. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Terraform provisioning on GCP, and observability with DataDog, SonarQube, and GitHub workflows, while actively participating in Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• 60 months of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or systems administration, including public cloud.
• 36 months of experience with GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Secret Manager.
• 36 months of experience with Terraform, including reading, writing, and modifying infrastructure code within established patterns.
• 36 months of experience building CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• 36 months of experience with GitHub workflows, including pull requests and branch management.
• 12 months of experience with DataDog for observability, and 12 months with SonarQube in CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

Job description

The Platform Engineer (Mid-Level) is a hands-on engineering role on the newly established DFS Platform Services team. This role contributes directly to building, operating, and maintaining the internal platform that enables development and operations teams to ship software faster and more reliably. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Lead and Senior Platform Engineers in a structured, mentorship-rich environment.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting development team delivery workflows
• Author and maintain Terraform code for GCP infrastructure provisioning following established standards and patterns
• Support and maintain existing Salesforce/GearSet deployment pipelines, including troubleshooting and documentation
• Maintain the SonarQube and GitHub integration for static code analysis and security scanning
• Manage build artifacts using GCP Artifact Registry
• Support the observability stack including DataDog log forwarding, monitoring, and alerting

Required/Preferred Skills:

• 84 months Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop web and desktop 60 months of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or systems administration, including at least 2 years in a public cloud environment (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure considered)
• 36 months of experience with GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, IAM, and Secret Manager
• 36 months of experience with Terraform, including reading, writing, and modifying infrastructure code within established patterns
• 36 months of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or equivalent
• 36 months of experience with GitHub and Git workflows, including pull requests and branch management
• 24 months of experience in an Agile delivery environment, including sprint ceremonies and iterative delivery
• 12 months of experience with DataDog for log analysis and observability
• 12 months of experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube within a CI/CD pipeline
