Everforth Apex Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments on site. This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance at Top Secret level.

The position offers opportunities to mentor and supervise teammates while delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions in a demanding, mission-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in cloud-native solutions or 12+ years in lieu.
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Bash, and IaC tools (Terraform or Vault), plus DNS, load balancing, TLS.

Role Overview

In this position, you will manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments. The role requires applying advanced technical skills to ensure continuous improvement and resolve complex problems. You will work without considerable direction and have the opportunity to mentor and supervise team members.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in developing and deploying enterprise cloud-native solutions, or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and platform-as-a-service technologies, including Kubernetes.

Technical Skills: Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and command-line interfaces, including Bash. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, including Terraform or Vault. Knowledge of network technologies such as DNS, load balancing, and TLS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
• Experience with containerization tools.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with Git or GitLab.
• Experience applying cloud security principles.
• Experience programming in Python and Java.
• AWS Certifications.
