Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Cloud DevOps Team Lead to guide a team delivering secure and reliable cloud services for NIH CIT Hosting and Storage. The role focuses on cloud engineering, DevOps, and modernization, balancing standardization with flexible customer-centric solutions.

Location: remote with onsite Bethesda, MD preferred 3 days a week; candidates within 60 miles of the customer site may go onsite as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in an IT-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related IT experience.
• Experience leading a cloud/DevOps team and day-to-day execution of engineering, service delivery, Agile development, and project activities.
• Proven people management: recruiting, hiring, performance management, mentoring.
• Experience with cloud engineering, DevOps, modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight for your team, delegate, prioritize, and resolve blockers for cloud DevOps services.
• Oversee service catalog, identify customer demands, develop technical strategy and vision, and drive it with the team.
• Collaborate with Project Managers/Scrum Masters for transparent communications on timelines, resources, risk, and status.
• Drive continuous improvement to deliver new services and ways of working with customers.
• Oversee personnel management: recruitment, performance reviews, coaching and mentoring.
• Coordinate incident management and post-incident reviews with stakeholders.
