Job summary

Venmo is seeking a Senior Engineer on the AI Tooling team to design and build AI-powered tools for Venmo's Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps engineers. You will be hands-on and mentor others, shaping AI-enabled runbooks, incident triage, and automation.

You’ll work across AWS, EKS, Terraform, Python, and Go to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure tooling, integrate AI into CI/CD, and advance observability and safety practices across production systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience operating distributed applications 24x7x365.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a hands-on contributor, leading by example.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Be part of a team responsible for Venmo's Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps reliability.
