Role: Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

Client is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the Cloud Architecture team within the Capital Markets division.

The Cloud Architecture team is responsible for designing and providing infrastructure as code and automation solutions for the Software-as-a-Service division of the client. Their cloud SaaS platforms enable transformative business processing through innovative solutions for capital markets and financial institutions of all sizes. These platforms are rapidly growing, fully hosted, and deliver powerful, sophisticated market-leading software applications as a service.

Responsibilities:

• Build GitLab pipelines to provision and set up infrastructure, including various VMs, Git repositories, OKE, NSG, and security lists, and validate infrastructure.
• Develop GitLab pipelines to manage clusters, including version upgrades, worker node image upgrades, and pod image upgrades.
• Create pipelines to manage environment fleets, including monitoring stack upgrades and application deployment/undeployment.
• Integrate validation and sanity checks into deployment pipelines.
• Improve resiliency of monitoring tools like Grafana.
• Collaborate with the team and cloud providers to enhance infrastructure monitoring, such as using OCI with OpenTelemetry Exporter.
• Automate disaster recovery pipelines.
• Create and document processes using tools like Confluence, Draw.io, and PowerPoint.
• Work hands-on with Linux and Windows systems to install, test, and automate monitoring solutions for production rollout.
