Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to design and operate secure CI/CD pipelines, platform tooling, and IaC for government cloud systems. You will build automation, ensure Linux hardening, and embed security compliance (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP) from the start.

You’ll own pipeline architecture, infrastructure components, and identity/network security, delivering measurable deployment improvements and reusable code across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps or cloud platform engineering experience with production CI/CD pipelines
• 3+ years of experience with RHEL/CentOS systems administration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+, CISSP, CASP, or equivalent)

Job Description

Accenture Federal Services is looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer, Senior to design and operate secure CI/CD pipelines, platform tooling, and infrastructure-as-code for cloud-based systems supporting the program. You'll build the shared automation and platform capabilities other engineering teams rely on, with deep Linux systems administration and DevSecOps compliance woven into everything you deploy

What You’ll Own

• CI/CD pipeline architecture and platform tooling (Kubernetes, GitOps workflows, and internal developer platform components such as Crossplane, Backstage, or Argo CD)
• Infrastructure-as-code development and standards (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) across platform components
• Deep Linux/RHEL systems administration and hardening for platform infrastructure
• Security compliance integration — NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and FedRAMP — built into deployment pipelines by default
• Identity and access management, encryption, and network security implementation
• Troubleshooting and root‑cause resolution across the full technology stack What You’ll Deliver
• CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling that reduce friction for engineering teams building against them
• Infrastructure and platform components delivered as reusable, version‑controlled code
• Security controls and compliance built into pipelines from the start, not applied as a remediation pass
• Reliable, well‑documented platform operations — runbooks, architecture decisions, and procedures
• Measurable improvements in deployment frequency and reduced deployment time through automation

Here’s What You Need

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud platform engineering, including production experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation), and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• 3+ years of experience with RHEL or CentOS systems administration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+, CISSP, CASP, or equivalent), or DoD 8140 equivalent

Bonus Points If You Have

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty)
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
• Experience with next‑generation platform tooling (Crossplane, Backstage, Argo CD) beyond the required baseline
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Familiarity with National Security systems and air‑gapped environments

• Active TS clearance required; SCI preferred

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
