Job summary

VT Group (VTG) seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to advance cloud-based systems and automated deployments across the software lifecycle. You will design, develop, and deploy automation solutions, model complex architectures, and drive CI/CD practices leveraging GitHub and Jenkins.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and hands-on experience with commercial cloud platforms, automation scripting, and performance testing.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• BS degree with 11–15 years of relevant experience, or MS with 8–10 years of relevant experience; doctorate possible.
• Expert in the software development lifecycle and DevOps toolchains, with CI/CD experience.
• Experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (AWS, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience with cloud data services (e.g., AWS S3, OpenSearch, EFS).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient with Git and issue tracking systems.
• Familiar with Agile practices in service-oriented environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug automation solutions for development, test and production environments.
• Break high-level requirements into smaller tasks for implementation.
• Develop, prototype and deploy solutions on Commercial Cloud Platforms.
• Coordinate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment.
• Analyze performance and end-to-end testing to meet customer mission needs.
• Use DevOps tools like GitHub and Jenkins; document deployment processes.
