Job summary

VTG is seeking a Jr. DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in deploying software and systems in Linux environments. You will work on containerized apps, cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and network design across LAN/CAN/WAN.

Strong scripting and automation skills are required for CI/CD pipelines and IaC implementations. The role supports hybrid environments with Arista/Cisco networking and requires TS/SCI with Poly or equivalent DoD 8570-compliant certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software and system deployments
• Hands-on Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS)
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud deployments and DevSecOps
• Proficiency with Python and Bash scripting
• Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab)
• Familiarity with IaC/CM tools (Ansible/Terraform)
• Willingness to travel
• TS/SCI with Poly or DoD 8570-compliant certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Support software and system deployments across Linux, containerized, cloud, and virtualized environments.
• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS).
• Support DevSecOps processes and automation across dev, test, deploy, and operations.
• Design and troubleshoot LAN/CAN/WAN networks and configure Arista/Cisco devices.
• Develop automation scripts with Python and Bash; maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab).
• Implement IaC/CM with Ansible/Terraform; deploy containerized apps with Docker/Kubernetes.
