Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills including schema design, query tuning, indexing, and performance bottlenecks.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Create monitoring queries and establish service-level baselines for critical database services.
• Design and implement solutions that improve availability, fault tolerance, and recoverability across AWS database platforms.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to assist in the recovery of major production incidents and act as a senior escalation point.
• Plan and execute failover testing within and between AWS regions.
• Automate the recovery of systems and components using Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management.
• Implement automation and execute code in production environments to reduce manual effort and operational toil.
• Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions, including reusable, code‑defined dashboards.
• Contribute to post‑mortems, root cause analyses, reliability engineering documentation, and mentoring of junior engineers
