Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking experienced software engineers to build hyper-scale database services for AWS. You will own significant components spanning thousands of servers and data centers, mentoring others while delivering high-quality code for our global customer base.

You’ll collaborate across teams, participate in design reviews, and help drive architectural decisions in a startup-like environment within a large company. Strong communication and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or engineering team leader.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging technical problems at multiple stack layers.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain software to improve service performance and security.
• Build high-quality, highly available products.
