Job summary

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, seeks a senior database administrator to lead a team responsible for optimization and forecasting solutions for inventory management, planning, and campaign delivery. You will administer MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB, and deploy AWS services to support scalable systems.

You will design schemas, implement backup strategies, optimize SQL/NoSQL queries with Percona Toolkit, and build dashboards with Prometheus and Grafana while scripting in Python

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years in DB admin or similar.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on AWS cloud deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to develop and support optimization/forecasting solutions for inventory management and campaign delivery.
• Administer databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB) and deploy AWS services.
• Model data, design schemas, implement backup/recovery, and optimize queries with Percona Toolkit.
• Build dashboards and alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch; develop automation scripts in Python and Shell.
