Capital One is seeking a Data Engineer to design cloud-first data solutions and scalable pipelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting a major transformation across the company.

You’ll work with Python, SQL and Spark on Databricks and Snowflake, mentor others, implement secure data architectures, and partner with product managers, data scientists and engineers to deliver reliable data platforms for millions of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related quantitative field
• 4+ years of application development experience
• 2+ years of distributed data experience
• 2+ years of SQL experience
• 2+ years of one programming language (Python/Java/Scala)
• 2+ years of data pipeline design and development
• 1+ year of data modeling and end-to-end data solutions design

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support data solutions
• Influence a team of developers, data analysts, and data scientists
• Build and deliver cloud-first data solutions and pipelines
• Architect data engineering patterns for code quality and reusability
