Job summary

Charles Schwab seeks a Software and Development Engineer to design, build, and evolve cloud-based data solutions powering advisor clients and partners. You will lead scalable data integration platforms in a collaborative Agile environment, working with GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow, and Informatica to transform and distribute critical information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• 5+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale data processing solutions using GCP technologies including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Terraform.
• Experience developing applications and services using Java.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, stored procedures, and data integration architectures.
• Experience building and supporting ETL and data transformation solutions.
• Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and web services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD practices and automated deployment processes.
• Experience writing unit tests and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and iterative delivery practices.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to influence technical decisions, guide implementation approaches, and drive delivery outcomes across distributed teams.

• Mentor engineers and influence delivery outcomes across distributed teams.
