Qualifications

• Experience building/operating highly available distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing large data sets.
• 5+ years delivering data engineering solutions on cloud platforms.
• 5+ years experience with at least one cloud-based solution (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Advanced level proficiency with at least one ETL / Data Orchestration technology.
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks.
• 5+ years with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Expertise with SQL, database design/structure and data schemas.
• 5+ years with Python, Java, R, C/C++, or Shell.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (git, Jenkins, CI/CD, Jira).
• Understanding of big data, open source, and data streaming concepts.
• Ability to think strategically and recommend solutions based on business needs.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers in data engineering.
• Cloud certification on any platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be trusted advisor to customers with best practices, methodologies, and technologies to implement data engineering solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain modern data pipelines using cloud technologies.
• Partner with product owners and SMEs to analyze requirements and provide a sustainable engineered solution.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate across teams to align solutions with customer needs.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and share results with stakeholders.
