Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Technology Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Financial Crime and Risk data platforms.

You will drive cloud-native migrations, build robust data models, and work with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technology solutions.

This role requires 10+ years of experience in data architecture and applications, with strong leadership, governance, and secure-by-design practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.
• 10+ years experience with developing and implementing applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory data platforms.
• Drive modernization initiatives by migrating legacy data ecosystems to cloud-native and Databricks-based architectures.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support data quality, scalability, governance, and long-term business objectives.
• Partner with business leaders, product owners, engineering teams, and risk stakeholders to translate complex requirements into strategic technology solutions.
• Define enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices for data ingestion, transformation, storage, lineage, governance, and consumption.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve performance, resiliency, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, Security, and Risk teams to build secure, highly available, and resilient data products and services.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and technical teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
