Job summary
Cognizant is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Cloud Data Architect with 12+ years of experience to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions. You will lead end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses across banking and insurance domains, leveraging Spark, Hive, Snowflake, and cloud-native tech.
The role requires strong SQL, Python, R, and orchestration skills, plus CI/CD with Jenkins and Git.
Qualifications
- Experience in ETL/ELT development using Talend, DataStage, Spark, Hive, and SQL-based frameworks.
- Expertise in designing enterprise data integration solutions and data migration strategies.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and R.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Snowflake.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines with robust error handling, monitoring, and audit capabilities.
- Build and optimize enterprise data warehouses, data marts, and data lake architectures.
- Develop and maintain scalable data solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud-native technologies.
- Design and implement data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
- Develop and optimize data processing solutions using Spark, Hive, Kafka, Hadoop, and Snowflake.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes using Jenkins and Git-based version control systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization across enterprise platforms.

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
