Job summary

ELLKAY is seeking a Senior Database & Cloud Data Architect to define and govern our database, data-modeling, and cloud data architecture. You will ensure the shared Data Platform, Data Lake, and product data stores are scalable, secure, and aligned with AWS and Snowflake standards.

You will partner with Product Architecture, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Security, Governance, and migration teams to promote data-modeling best practices, architecture reviews, and reliable modernization

Qualifications

Deep experience in database and enterprise data architecture.
Strong logical and physical data-modeling capabilities.
Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and cloud database modernization.

Responsibilities

Define the enterprise database and cloud data architecture for the shared Data Platform.
Develop data models for core healthcare and platform domains.
Establish standards for relational, analytical, operational data stores.
Define usage patterns for Snowflake, Amazon RDS/Aurora, object storage, and NoSQL.
Design data layers: raw, standardized, curated, semantic, product-serving.
Define database design, naming, schema-management, indexing, partitioning.
Data security standards including encryption, access controls, masking, PHI.
Guide migration from legacy databases to AWS/cloud platforms.
