Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions across Employer Group Actuarial services. The role focuses on AI integration, cloud-native data services, and automation, delivering actionable insights to business customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related work experience.
Experience with Snowflake, IDMC, Informatica and Oracle.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and cloud-based AI services.
Experience building AI-powered analytics, data catalogs, and automated reconciliation.
Demonstrated passion for AI, cloud architecture, and automation.
Experience with CICD, GitHub, and SQL.

Responsibilities

Engage as a technical expert in Informatica IDMC, Snowflake, AI and cloud-native data services.
Prototype and operationalize emerging AI technologies (Generative AI, RAG, MCP-based integrations).
Design scalable data solutions for pricing and reserving activities.
Synthesize and explain data differences between actuarial outputs and published data.
Lead and mentor junior engineers across onshore/offshore teams.
Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for insurance processing and actuarial analysis.
