Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data platforms for Employer Group Actuarial services. You will work with AI, cloud-native data services, and CI/CD tooling to accelerate insights and automate processes, while collaborating with customers in an iterative, cross-functional environment.

Hybrid or remote work is supported; candidates near offices may visit 3 days a week.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Snowflake, IDMC, Informatica and Oracle.
Hands-on AI-assisted engineering, Snowflake Cortex, and MCP capabilities.
Experience building AI-powered analytics and data catalogs.
Proficiency in CI/CD, GitHub, Autosys, and SQL.
7+ years ETL / Data analysis / Warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

Engage as a technical expert in Informatica IDMC, Snowflake, AI platforms, and cloud-native data services.
Prototype and operationalize emergent AI technologies including Generative AI and RAG.
Design scalable data solutions for pricing and reserving activities.
Lead data integration and reconcile data differences for actuarial outputs.
Mentor junior engineers across onshore and offshore teams.
Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for insurance processing.
