Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to guide design, development, and support for the Manhattan Active WMS platform.

You will shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable enterprise solutions. You will work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud-native technologies, and modern development practices to drive reliability, performance, and operational excellence across the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java skills and OO design patterns.
• Proficiency in Python for development, automation, and integration.
• Advanced MySQL experience for design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on GCP experience and cloud engineering best practices.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software solutions for Manhattan Active WMS.
• Develop and maintain applications, integrations, and services using Java and Python.
• Drive CI/CD, testing strategies, and release processes across environments.
• Architect and optimize MySQL databases for scalability and performance.
• Design, deploy, and support cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives across teams.
