Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for Cloud Automation & AI Systems within OCI. You will design and build scalable cloud-native services powering AI-assisted incident automation, working across automation, orchestration, governance, and AI-enabled workflows.

You will contribute to systems that manage incident lifecycles, from detection to closure, with an emphasis on automation, reliability, and operational excellence in a distributed cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, C#, or similar OO languages.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native apps.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, workflow systems, automation platforms, or operational tooling.
• Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, testing, debugging, performance.
• Experience with service integrations, event-driven architectures, or async processing.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and large-scale production systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate cloud-native software services for AI-powered automation and cloud management workflows.
• Build intelligent automation, orchestration, and workflow capabilities to reduce manual effort.
• Develop AI-assisted services for context gathering, issue investigation, and recommended actions.
• Create scalable backend services, APIs, data models, and user-facing experiences for operational workflows.
• Integrate telemetry, observability, and workflow engines across systems.
