Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to design secure, scalable cloud platforms for government applications. This hands-on leader will collaborate across software, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, data, and government teams to move solutions from development into secure production environments.

The ideal candidate has deep Azure expertise, experience with government authorization constraints, and a track record of reusable cloud architecture patterns across products and teams. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Extensive hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture and engineering experience
• Experience in U.S. Government, DoD, or similarly regulated cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of government cloud security and authorization requirements, including DoD RMF/ATO

Responsibilities

• Design secure government cloud architectures including landing zones, networking, identity, storage, and hosting
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions; balance security, reliability, performance and delivery time
• Build, review, test, and troubleshoot critical cloud components: IaC, configurations, deployment automation, IAM, networking, observability
• Lead complex technical problem resolution across cloud environments using logs, metrics, and root-cause analysis
• Design for authorization from the start; reuse authorized services and inherited controls with RMF teams
• Establish secure deployment patterns with CI/CD, artifact promotion, configuration management, and multi-enclave connectivity
• Create reusable engineering assets: IaC modules, reference implementations, standards, runbooks
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring engineers for production readiness and capacity planning
