Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to design secure, scalable cloud platforms for mission-critical U.S. Government environments.

This hands-on role spans software engineering, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, data, and platform teams to move solutions into production with accredited environments. The ideal candidate combines deep cloud engineering with experience navigating government authorization constraints and establishing reusable cloud architecture patterns across products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture and engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering production systems in U.S. Government or similarly regulated cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of government cloud security, RMF/ATO, zero trust, least privilege, and inherited controls.
• Experience designing landing zones, IaC, CI/CD, and secure deployment patterns.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure government cloud architectures including landing zones and networking.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-aware solutions across teams.
• Personally build, review, test, and troubleshoot critical cloud components and IaC.
• Lead resolution of complex technical problems across cloud environments with root-cause analysis.
• Design for authorization from the start and collaborate with cybersecurity/RMF teams.
• Establish secure deployment patterns with CI/CD, automation, and multi-enclave connectivity.
• Create reusable engineering assets and runbooks for adoption across teams.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and ensure production readiness and capacity planning.
