Job summary

Insuraviews is seeking a senior cloud engineer to own our cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure. You will manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, architect container workloads, and secure PostgreSQL databases while building robust CI/CD pipelines.

You will also design AI/ML infrastructure, lead incident response, and mentor engineers as the platform scales. This is a hands-on, senior role reporting to the CTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform and familiarity with a second.
• Proficient with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own design and evolution of Insuraviews' cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and/or Azure.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and architect container workloads, networking, and access model.
• Administer PostgreSQL databases, including backups, replication, failover, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Own database access controls, retention policies, and disaster recovery procedures, in partnership with Data Engineer.
• Build monitoring, logging, and alerting; lead infrastructure incident response end to end.
• Own cloud security practices, identity and access management, secrets, encryption, and vulnerability remediation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, environment promotion, and rollback.
• Provide self-service tooling and documentation; automate operational tasks.
• Set and document cloud and infrastructure standards; mentor developers and data engineers on IaC practices.
• As the platform grows, help lead a small cloud and platform team.
• Design and operate cloud infra for AI/ML workloads; evaluate AI capabilities.
