The Senior Cloud Architect is responsible for the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud network & cloud computing. The Senior Cloud Architect (Network) provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience. The individual in this role will lead Humana network infrastructure implementation for Google Cloud.

The Senior Cloud Architect (Network) performs technical planning, architecture development, and specification modifications for cloud network and cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud products and services. Assesses compatibility and integration of proposed products/services to ensure an integrated architecture across technologies. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide strategies. Advises multiple areas and provides recommendations to senior leadership, functioning as an expert across various knowledge and functional areas, especially in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.

This role involves developing and evaluating cloud network performance criteria, conducting capacity and feasibility studies, designing architecture, and influencing department strategy. The Senior Cloud Architect (Network) will deliver solutions for Multi-Cloud network connectivity, focusing on optimizing performance, resiliency, and scalability in GCP and Azure environments. Responsibilities include designing, engineering, supporting physical and virtual networking devices, and leveraging virtualization and SDN technologies.

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in a technical or scientific field.
• 5+ years supporting large-scale cloud network infrastructure with enterprise design experience.
• Certifications: Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate.
• Network engineering certification (e.g., CCNA to CCNP).
• 8+ years technical network engineering experience.
• 5+ years project leadership experience.
• 8+ years Layer 2/3 network design and engineering (LAN/WAN).
• Experience with MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and LAN/WAN technologies.
• Supporting enterprise cloud, data centers, and remote sites.
• Experience with Cisco equipment, Palo Alto Firewalls, VPNs, QoS, network security, ISP/backbone engineering.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with SDN environments (VXLAN, EVPN, Viptela).
• Vendor management skills and experience with data center colocation vendors.
• Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD experience.
• Ability to mentor team members.
• US Citizenship and pass NBIS background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps, CCNP/CCIE, cloud security, and virtual network appliances.
• Familiarity with Akamai, ZScaler, ThousandEyes, and agile methodologies.
• Deep understanding of cloud architectures, security, and automation scripting.
• Master's Degree in a technical field preferred.

40 hours/week

Pay Range

$129,300 - $177,800 annually, with potential bonuses based on performance.
