Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, optimize and manage advanced cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. You will provide hands-on support, develop IaC solutions and guide application teams in cloud adoption.

The role requires scripting, cloud architecture, problem-solving, and the ability to lead complex projects while mentoring junior engineers. On-call responsibilities are included and a strong security focus is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years cloud experience, or HS diploma/GED with 8+ years in cloud.
• Experience across multiple cloud platforms is preferred.
• Strong design, security, and DevOps capabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Deploys and manages cloud resources with security, performance and cost optimization.
• Leads design and deployment of scalable, secure cloud architectures for critical apps.
• Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation practices.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership; 24/7 on-call readiness.
