Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Cloud Enterprise Architect to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to establish best-practice architectures.

The role emphasizes secure, compliant cloud deployments, automation, and cost-conscious operations, with a 24x7 on-call rotation and close alignment to enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or 5 years of related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a technical leader and mentor to team members.
• Takes lead on large projects and complex changes.
• Designs, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Configures and deploys cloud services including VMs, storage, network, and security.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture standards.
• Monitors and optimizes performance, availability, and security.
• Automates deployment, configuration, and management tasks.
• Performs regular security assessments and implements protective measures.
• Troubleshoots and resolves cloud infrastructure issues.
• Keeps up with cloud computing trends and advises on best practices.
• Documents configurations and procedures for knowledge sharing.
• Designs disaster recovery and backup plans.
• Monitors costs and identifies savings opportunities while maintaining performance.
