Job summary

Michigan Farm Bureau is seeking an Senior Cloud Architect to own the end-to-end cloud architecture strategy and establish enterprise-wide design standards for secure, resilient, and cost-efficient delivery of critical business capabilities.

You will translate strategic objectives into scalable cloud and hybrid reference architectures, guiding investment decisions and roadmaps while acting as a senior technical authority to enterprise leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Eight to ten years of progressive experience in cloud architecture/engineering.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience planning and executing migrations/modernizations with measurable resilience, performance, and/or cost improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end cloud architecture strategy and enterprise-wide design standards.
• Lead enterprise cloud solution architecture for available and business-critical workloads.
• Develop and lead cloud adoption and migration roadmaps with metrics for risk reduction and cost efficiency.
• Define cloud security architecture and control objectives with IT Security; ensure regulatory alignment.
• Lead infrastructure architecture reviews and remediation planning with audit, risk, and compliance partners.
