Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design, governance, and delivery of scalable cloud solutions. You will work across AWS, Azure and GCP, shaping strategy, standards, and roadmaps while guiding engineers and collaborating with executives.

The role emphasizes HIPAA/GDPR/SOC2 compliance, IaC adoption, and seamless migration of legacy workloads to cloud environments, with a focus on cost efficiency and time-to-market.

• Extensive cloud architecture experience across multiple cloud platforms.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder communication to executives and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, resilient cloud systems across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Develop and maintain cloud strategy and roadmaps.
• Establish governance, security and compliance controls (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2).
• Drive IaC adoption with Terraform/CloudFormation to automate provisioning.
• Lead migration of workloads to cloud ( Re-Hosting, Re-Platforming, Re-Architecting).
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed patterns in CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize performance with caching, CDN, and load balancing.
• Provide technical leadership and escalation support.
• Translate complex architecture decisions for C-suite and stakeholders.
• Mentor Cloud Engineers through reviews and workshops.
• Contribute to enterprise cloud strategy and planning sessions.
• Participate in key planning sessions to advise capabilities and constraints.
