Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to lead enterprise cloud design and implementation across public and private clouds. You will drive performance, security, cost-efficiency, automation, and orchestration while mentoring engineers and ensuring robust documentation.

This role requires 10+ years in cloud engineering, a degree in CS/Engineering (preferred), and advanced certifications in major cloud platforms. On-site at Providence, RI with standard day shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field is strongly preferred.
• Advanced certification in one of the major cloud platforms is required.
• Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience in cloud engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and implementation of scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Develop and enforce security policies and compliance measures for cloud infrastructure.
• Continuously optimize cloud performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
• Create and manage advanced automation scripts for deployment, management, and scaling of cloud resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions that align with business objectives.
• Design and implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Mentor cloud engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and processes.
• Lead large-scale cloud projects coordinating with various teams.
• Mentor junior and mid-level cloud engineers to foster learning and improvement.
