Job summary

CNO Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Architect to define and drive cloud architecture strategy across Azure and AWS. You will lead enterprise initiatives for modernizing infrastructure, enforce governance, and enable scalable cloud delivery with IaC and automated pipelines.

The role offers autonomy, collaboration across engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and business teams, and a focus on secure, cost‑effective cloud solutions in a remote US‑based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5 years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure or cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Azure; AWS experience preferred.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, govern, and evolve enterprise cloud platforms and services.
• Develop architecture roadmaps, governance and cost transparency.
• Architect and oversee cloud platform services including landing zones and identity management.
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors to align architectures and roadmaps.
• Define disaster recovery, multi-region patterns, and high availability.
• Establish cloud financial management and cost optimization practices.
• Document all architecture designs and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Mentor engineers on IaC, platform engineering, and security patterns.
