The State of North Carolina’s Department of Public Instruction seeks a Cloud Architect (NS) to provide senior technical leadership for designing and maturing DPI’s enterprise cloud environment. You will translate business needs into practical cloud solutions aligned with the agency’s long-term technology strategy.

Responsibilities include designing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, implementing landing zones, cost governance, and collaboration with cybersecurity, data, and application teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field; six years of IT experience including cloud design.
• Experience with Azure cloud environments and landing zones.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and Git-based deployment.
• Experience with data platforms such as Azure Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Power BI, Snowflake.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and mature secure, scalable, reliable cloud solutions meeting DPI requirements.
• Design cloud landing zones, network segmentation, identity integration, and cost governance.
• Develop and maintain cloud Architecture frameworks, standards, and reference architectures.
• Define observability, monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery patterns.
• Ensure secure, resilient, and compliant cloud infrastructure; collaborate with multiple teams.
